Redmond VFW to hold 50th Anniversary Vietnam War Commemoration

VFW Post 2995 in Redmond will hold a 50th Anniversary Vietnam War Commemoration from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Saturday at its post at 4330 148th Ave. N.E.

VFW Post 2995 in Redmond will hold a 50th Anniversary Vietnam War Commemoration from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Saturday at its post at 4330 148th Ave. N.E.

They will honor Vietnam War-era veterans at the ceremony, which is free and will include guest speaker Steve Pennington and an official pinning ceremony. Complimentary pins will be available for all Vietnam-era veterans (active duty service between Nov. 1, 1955 and May 15, 1975).

An optional dinner will follow: $15 for adults, $11 for children (5-12 years old). Payment for dinners will be accepted at the door — cash only. Menu is Caesar salad, Parmesan crusted chicken, buttered noodles, broccoli and vanilla ice cream.
