Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee’s Girls Unlimited Saturday event canceled

Due to low enrollment numbers, Saturday's Girls Unlimited event has been canceled.

Due to low enrollment numbers, Saturday’s Girls Unlimited event has been canceled.

The event would have been the third this year in an ongoing series targeted toward helping young women in seventh-grade and higher become confident in the skills and abilities they bring to the world. Girls Unlimited addresses key issues that hold girls back from effective leadership and getting their ideas heard.

The series, which is sponsored by the Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee, also features community leaders who teach the girls during hands-on sessions that expose them to a variety of skills and activities.

“We feel that the topic is relevant and important and will reschedule for fall,” said Ken Wong, administrator for the City of Redmond’s teen programs.
