The Redmond Parks and Recreation Department is “going green” with the next issue of the city’s recreation guide.

The new Redmond Recreation Guide will be launched in a digital format and available online only beginning Nov. 19. Customers will be able to search for recreation classes and activities for upcoming winter quarter programs. Winter quarter classes run January through March 2013. Online or in-person registration begins Dec. 4 for Redmond residents and Dec. 11 for non-residents.

“This new version of the online guide will be interactive, informative, convenient and easy to view,” said recreation business office administrator Ryan Spencer.

The guide will have search capabilities, videos and photo slide shows and users will be able to share pages with friends through email, Facebook, or Twitter.

The city’s parks and recreation department’s online guide will save printing and mailing costs, emphasizing the city’s commitment to be a responsible steward of the environment and resources. The online guide will provide users with the most up-to-date schedules of programs and activities and allow flexibility to develop and offer activities that residents want with less lead time.

To access the new digital guide, visit RedmondRecreationGuide.com beginning Nov. 19.
