According to the Lake Washington School District website, Rockwell and Wilder elementary schools will be closed today due to power outages. There will be no extended day and no activities.
Akiko Oda of Puget Sound Energy (PSE) told the Reporter at about 11 a.m. today:
“Our crews are making significant progress. At this time, we’ve restored all substation, transmission and circuit outages in Redmond. There’s one underground outage near the Grass Lawn Park impacting 60 customers. We’re also seeing a few scattered outages – all under 20 customers. We have a crew headed to Education Hill for some repair work. Our crews will continue to work until everyone is restored.”
Oda added that since PSE is still actively responding to the storm outages throughout its service area, it won’t be able to provide a total number of those Redmond residents and businesses who lost power over the last two days.
One of the PSE King County crews’ jobs today was removing and making repairs from a tree in a transmission line in Redmond, according to the PSE website.
City of Redmond Public Works confirmed that there were some fallen trees that had to be removed.
