About 45 minutes after Redmond teachers finished picketing at the intersection of Avondale Road Northeast and Northeast 116th Street, a rollover collision occurred in that area involving a City of Redmond Public Works vehicle and a citizen vehicle.

The minor-injury accident took place at about 10:45 a.m., according to Redmond Police Department Cmdr. Shari Francois and there was a substantial delay in both directions with the west leg of Northeast 116th Street closed for about an hour. Both streets are now clear.

There is construction going on in the area and police are investigating the cause of the accident.
