Rose Hill Junior High jazz band performs at EMP

The Rose Hill Junior High Jazz Band performed at the Science Fiction Festival held at the Experience Music Project | Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMPSFM) in Seattle on Feb. 7.

The Rose Hill Junior High Jazz Band performed at the Science Fiction Festival held at the Experience Music Project | Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMPSFM) in Seattle on Feb. 7. The group performed science fiction-themed music in the Sky Church at the EMP.

The festival was held from Feb. 7-11. A variety of events were held during the week, including performances by local school bands, orchestras and instrumental ensembles; special screenings of science fiction B-movies; instructor led “Science of Science Fiction” activities; science fiction-themed sing along – dance alongs; script readings; and short story readings from the Science Fiction Short Story contest award winners (grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12).
