At the Oct. 8 event, five brave individuals — David Standring, Melahat Yagiz, Shabani Ramandani, Roberto Larrauri and Jun Hizon — agreed to have their heads shaved by Nancy Chaney.

Standring, who is the personal preferences coordinator at Overlake Terrace, also sold wax strips to have his legs waxed. The inspiration to raise money was Standring’s beloved sister, Ann, who lost a 10-year battle with breast cancer in 2007.
