Wednesday, May 31

Trespassing: Redmond police took a criminal-trespassing report at 3:03 a.m. in the 7800 block of 168th Avenue Northeast. A Redmond man known to officers for frequently trespassing in parks after hours was contacted and referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for the repeat violation and Redmond police’s Homeless Outreach Advocate for services.

Tuesday, May 30

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 4:51 p.m. in the 7400 block of 164th Avenue Northeast. Two males and one female crept into the Guitar Center and then made off with four guitars. Police are still waiting for video to further investigate.

Monday, May 29

Vandalism: Redmond police took a vandalism report at 11:49 a.m. in the 17200 block of Northeast 104th Street. A City of Redmond Parks employee, upon returning to Hartman Park early in the morning, discovered that someone had pushed down a fence and damaged multiple fence posts. The total damage, including the lost labor, was more than $1,000. Police are conducting area patrols in hopes of preventing further damage.

Sunday, May 28

Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 6:09 p.m. in the 15200 block of Northeast 81st Way. A resident called to report items stolen from her garage, however she has since been unavailable for contact and police are not sure what was taken at this point.

Saturday, May 27

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 11:28 a.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. An area store employee watched a man who is suspected of prior thefts enter his store and move some items around; the male did not abscond with the items – two bottles of alcohol – but he was violating a previously issued trespass warning letter. Charges were referred to the prosecutor for trespassing.

Friday, May 26

Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 8:15 p.m. in the 17600 block of Northeast 76th Street. A store employee thought she had tucked her purse away in a safe location, but surveillance footage shows a female suspect approach the location, steal the purse, and she was able to conduct at least one fraudulent purchase with the victim’s cards.

Wednesday, May 24

Burglary: Redmond police took a burglary report at 9:34 a.m. in the 11500 block of Avondale Road. A local shop was burglarized overnight; the owners are still trying to figure out exactly what was taken. There is no suspect information.
