Spazzo Italian Grill & Wine Bar, located in Redmond Town Center, has “deflated” the meatballs on all their pizzas in honor of Super Bowl XLIX, pitting the Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots. From now through the end of the Super Bowl, executive chef Andre Decker will deflate the meatballs between lunch and dinner for $12.

“We have decided to take a page out of the New England Patriots’ playbook,” said Lindsey Schwartz, CEO of Schwartz Brothers Restaurants. “We are always looking for any advantage over the competition, no matter what it takes.”

“The technique of flattening our meatballs to the perfect specifications is tricky, however, it will give the 12s a competitive advantage in their consumption without compromising the outstanding taste,” said chef Decker.
