Suspect arrested for allegedly chasing people with large saw blade

A male suspect was arrested for allegedly wielding a large saw blade and chasing after people on May 16 in the 5100 block of 148th Avenue Northeast, according to Redmond police.

A male suspect was arrested for allegedly wielding a large saw blade and chasing after people on May 16 in the 5100 block of 148th Avenue Northeast, according to Redmond police.

Officers arrived on the scene at about 3:39 p.m. and located a subject matching the description given and possessing the blade. It was reported that the man chased two subjects with the blade, and they were able to run away without injury.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and he apologized for his behavior, stating he needed to go back to the penitentiary and this was how he could go back to prison. He was arrested for second-degree assault and booked into jail.
