Suspect on the run after using a boxcutter on victim’s neck

The incident took place at Whole Foods on May 8.

The Redmond Police Department is searching for an unidentified Caucasian male, who on May 8 assaulted an individual with a boxcutter inside Whole Foods, located at 17991 Redmond Way, at approximately 8:10 p.m.

According to Jill Green of RPD, the boxcutter was used to superficially slice the back of the victim’s neck, leaving a mark near his ear. The victim declined medical aid, and according to Green, Whole Foods security cameras were not operational during the assault.

Witnesses stated that the suspect was running erratically through the parking lot and the store while shouting obscenities, prior to the assault.

The suspect is described as between 5’9” and 6’0”, was wearing a grey or brown hooded sweatshirt, and was carrying a grey backpack.
