Suspect smashes and grabs purse in a car prowl | Police blotter

Wednesday, Dec. 5

Arrest: A 48-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of stealing several hundred dollars worth of clothing and other items from a Redmond department store on the 17600 block of Union Hill Road Northeast.

Theft: A package containing a new laptop was stolen off a front porch by an unknown suspect on the 2400 block of 185th Place Northeast.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

Vehicle Prowl: A woman reported she had been the victim of a smash and grab while her car was parked outside her work on the 17900 block of Northeast 65th Street. The thief made off with her purse and then attempted to use her credit cards shortly after.

Monday, Dec. 3

Vehicle Prowls: Police investigated three reports of car break-ins in the same neighborhood by an unknown subject around the 7500 block of 159th Avenue Northeast. Two vehicles had their windows smashed and various personal property was stolen.

Theft: Three packages were stolen off a porch on the 13800 block of Northeast 74th Street. The thief has not been identified.
