The Bear Creek School honors 57 graduates at commencement ceremony

The Bear Creek School honored 57 graduates at Saturday's commencement ceremony at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue.

The Bear Creek School honored 57 graduates at Saturday’s commencement ceremony at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue.

The keynote address was done by Rev. Earl Palmer, who has served as minister for more than 50 years at numerous churches, including the University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Union Church of Manila in the Philippines, First Presbyterian Church of Berkely, Calif. and most recently as preaching pastor-in-residence at the National Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C.

Donna Dunn, the science department chair who also teaches biology and Advanced Placement biology, was chosen as the faculty speaker by the graduation class.

Seven graduates — Madelyn Magee, Sterling Miller, Elizabeth Probus, Elizabeth Fernandez, Koo Ha Kown, Nicholas Van Baak and Katelyn Petrin — all spoke at the ceremony, reflecting back on their time at The Bear Creek School.

The Upper School Band and Choir also performed during the ceremony.
