The Not-Its! get Arts in the Parks concert series off to a rockin’ start

Kids rock band, The Not-Its!, got the city's Arts in the Parks concert series off to a rousing start Tuesday afternoon as children packed the front of the stage to dance and jump for joy.

Kids rock band, The Not-Its!, got the city’s Arts in the Parks concert series off to a rousing start Tuesday afternoon as children packed the front of the stage to dance and jump for joy.

The concert series continues Friday night at 7 p.m. with blues and soul artist LeRoy Bell followed by Doctor Funk.

Tuesdays at noon are reserved for performances specifically for children and caregivers, while Fridays at 7 p.m. are performances for all ages.

Here is July’s schedule:

• July 15 at 7 p.m.: LeRoy Bell. Accomplished singer and songwriter, Bell will perform blues and soul.

• July 19 at noon: Lelavision. A truly unique performance and an adventure into music, dance and human sculpture.

• July 22 at 7 p.m.: The Tall Boys. Come on out for some traditional old-time fiddle music by one of Seattle’s finest string bands.

• August 2 at noon: The Secret Garden

• August 5 at 7 p.m.: The Tempest

• August 9 at noon: Caspar Babypants

• August 12 at 7 p.m.: Anthony and Cleopatra

• August 16 at noon: Brian Waite
