Redmond High School senior Carmen L. Tubbesing has been awarded a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship underwritten by Pepisco Foundation, Inc.
The Pepsico Foundation is funded by Pepsico, Inc., a worldwide consumer products and services company. The foundation targets its giving in the fields of education, preventative medicine and the arts, makes grants to colleges and universities and matches funds donated to colleges by employees.
Tubbesing’s probable career field is environmental science.
National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners are judged on the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills and potential for success in rigorous college studies. They were selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors and may use their awards at any regionally accredited U.S. college or universities.

• Olga E. Musayev of Eastlake High School, whose probable career field is law; also supported by National Merit Corporation’s own funds.
