Workers raise the Cirque du Soleil big top and village on Thursday afternoon at Marymoor Park. The Grand Chapiteau seats more than 2,600 people, takes eight days to set up, stands 62 feet high and is 167 feet in diameter and requires 550 pegs (4 feet each) to hold it firmly to the ground. The Cirque travels via 65 trailers carrying close to 2,000 tons of equipment. The Cirque’s “Amaluna” will run from Jan. 31 to March 24.
