Utility work to cause downtown traffic delays

Beginning Thursday, March 12, critical utility work will start at the intersection of Redmond Way and Cleveland Street resulting in potential traffic delays. This work is scheduled to take place during daylight hours through Sunday, March 15th. Motorists are asked to use caution when approaching this area and obey all posted signs and personnel.

The purpose of this work is to install a new water main down Cleveland Street. The work at the intersection of Redmond Way and Cleveland Street begins this process. Water service will be disrupted to five or six businesses that have been notified. The City is working with these businesses and will install temporary water service jumpers to assure a continuous water supply.

The City carefully reviewed various scenarios to implement this work, including working at night, and concluded this scenario will have the least impacts. For more information on this project, contact Lisa Singer, Project Manager at lsinger@redmond.gov or 425-556-2726.
