On Wednesday, VALA Eastside will hold an event to celebrate the organization’s birthday.

VALA was started in 2010 by Jessica and John Lambert.

The event is free and includes refreshments, music by Chai Tea Latte, a reading by Redmond poet laureate Michael Dylan Welch and the reveal of a new project in VALA’s future.

The VALA Art Center is located at 7303 164th Ave. N.E. in Redmond Town Center.
