Wednesday, Aug. 25

Birthday downer: A Bothell man who celebrated his 27th birthday on Monday, was arrested for investigation of DUI in the 12800 block of Northeast 85th Street at around 1:30 a.m.

Break-in: Redmond Police responded to and investigated a report of an attempted residential burglary in the 11800 block of 157th Avenue Northeast.

Malicious mischief: Unknown suspect(s) towed a garbage can alongside a vehicle and released it into several mailboxes in the 16900 block of Northeast 100th Street. The mailbox stand had its roof shingles broken and two mailboxes were torn off the stand. The suspect(s) drove a small black hatchback car. The area was checked for the associated vehicle but the suspect vehicle was not found.

Groping: A female driver was confronted by a male bicyclist while driving to Redmond. The cyclist got the driver’s attention, near State Route 520 and Northeast 51st Street. When she slowed down and stopped, the cyclist reached into her open window and touched her neck. No further suspect information is available and a report was taken for documentation.

Tuesday, Aug. 24

DUI: Redmond police arrested a 65-year-old Bellevue man for investigation of DUI in the 3100 block of 148th Avenue Northeast at around 2 a.m.

Car prowl: Someone smashed out a vehicle window and stole a cell phone and bag from inside the vehicle, which was parked in the 18000 block of Northeast 68th Street.

Theft: A woman left her wallet at a store in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast and when it was eventually found, cash was missing.

Burglary: Someone broke out a ground floor window of a home in the 3400 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway and stole jewelry and electronics.

Monday, Aug. 23

Car prowl: Some change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 18100 block of Northeast 100th Circle.

Fraud: Redmond police are investigating a suspicious telephone call to resident in the 6700 block of 139th Avenue Northeast where the caller was “attempting to swindle the victim,” according to the police report.

Sunday, Aug. 22

Vandalism: A 24-year-old Redmond woman was arrested for causing property damage during a verbal argument with her grandfather in the 16800 block of Northeast 89th Street at around 4:30 p.m.

Hot wheels returned: Redmond police recovered a stolen homemade scooter near Willows Road and Northeast 116th Street at around 2:30 p.m. and returned it to the rightful owner.

Saturday, Aug. 21

Theft: A cell phone was stolen from a restaurant in the 17100 block of Redmond Way at around 9:30 p.m.

Unlocked car prowls: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 10600 block of 164th Avenue Northeast at around 6 p.m., but did not steal anything. There was another car prowl in the 164000 block of Northeast 106th Place at around 5:50 p.m. that involved another unlocked vehicle, but nothing was stolen.

Fraud: Redmond police arrested a 29-year-old Redmond man at around 11 a.m. for altering a pain medication prescription at a pharmacy in the 17200 block of Redmond Way.

Friday, Aug. 20

Car prowls galore: A wallet and cell phone were stolen from a vehicle parked at a shopping center in the 16100 block of Northeast 85th at around 10 p.m. There was another car prowl report at an apartment complex in the 17100 block of Avondale Way, where someone broke into a vehicle and stole a car stereo at around 7:45 p.m. Redmond police got another car prowl report around 7 p.m. in the 11100 block of 156th Place Northeast, where a sweatshirt was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Trespass: A 50-year-old man was arrested for criminal trespass in the second degree in the 8400 block of 164th Avenue Northeast at 6:01 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 19

Threats: Redmond police received a report of an unknown male making threats to a business in the 3600 block of 157th Avenue Northeast from a phone in Texas.

Theft: A Redmond man reported that his bicycle was stolen from a parking garage in the 7500 block of 166th Avenue Northeast.
