Victim reports her identity was fraudulently used in California | Police blotter for Feb. 13-19

Monday, Feb. 19

Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 3:18 p.m. in the 14200 block of Northeast 80th Place. The victim stated her identity had been fraudulently used in California by an unknown suspect.

Sunday, Feb. 18

Car prowl: Redmond police took a car-prowl report at 11:23 a.m. in the 18600 block of Northeast 63rd Way. Someone stole several bags and personal property out of a car parked overnight at a local apartment complex. There were no signs of forced entry on the vehicle. Evidence gathered at the scene is being processed.

Saturday, Feb. 17

Burglary: Redmond police took a commercial-burglary report at 9:08 a.m. in the 8400 block of 154th Avenue Northeast. Officers investigated a break-in at a local business where several electronics and other items were stolen. The suspect or suspects broke through the front door to gain entry. Investigation is ongoing.

Friday, Feb. 16

Burglary: Redmond police took a residential-burglary report at 10:58 a.m. in the 8100 block of 161st Avenue Northeast. Officers responded to a report of a burglary and car theft that occurred sometime in the night at a local apartment complex. The victim reported some of his personal belongings, including his car keys, had been taken from his apartment. After realizing his items had been taken from his residence, the victim also noticed his vehicle was missing from where he had left it the night before. No suspect information was immediately available and the investigation is ongoing.

Thursday, Feb. 15

Suspicious circumstance: Redmond police took a suspicious-circumstance report at 11:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of 179th Avenue Northeast. Police were called to investigate a reported vehicle theft. The caller told officers that his friend had left his vehicle at his house and an unknown subject drove off with it late in the evening. Officers are investigating the alleged theft and attempting to track down the registered owner.

Wednesday, Feb. 14

Alcohol offense: Redmond police took an alcohol-offense report at 11:43 a.m. in the 7800 block of 168th Avenue Northeast. Officers issued a citation to a man for drinking beer in a public park. Officers gave the apparently intoxicated man a ride home and advised he enjoy his Miller High Life in his residence, not in public.

Tuesday, Feb. 13

Trespassing: Redmond police took a trespassing report at 5:58 p.m. in the 16000 block of Northeast 93rd Way. Police were called to trespass a subject who had been staying in an apartment crawlspace without permission. Upon arrival, officers found the suspect, a makeshift bed, food and other personal items in the crawlspace. The suspect was arrested for trespassing and booked into jail.
