Alison Laura DeFreitas

August 3, 1985 to April 7, 2015

Alison Laura DeFreitas is being remembered on this one-year heaven date of her passing on April 7, 2015, after suffering from a long illness.

Ali’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.

Aliskin (one of her nicknames) would spend so much quality time with her now 4-year-old son Christian, who she left behind. And Ali had a memory like an elephant, her favorite animal. We nicknamed her “Remember When” because with family and friends, Ali would reminisce about a memory that made us all share a smile. Ali loved people and had a very kind heart, and was so generous.

Although we miss Ali every day, especially her sparkling smile, beautiful face, amazing long hair and loving spirit, she will forever remain in our hearts. Through her teachings throughout life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be her parents. We are so thankful Ali and her sister Jillian spent so much time together in life so now Jill can hold dear the memory of Ali’s gentle spirit. They were best friends.

Ali is survived by her loving son Christian Chenier; parents Danny and Juli DeFreitas; sister Jillian Kate Leonard; nieces Ava and Vivian Leonard; grandparents Louis and Germaine DeFreitas and LaVone Poulos; aunt Linda Cardoso; uncles Kenny and Gary Roldan; brother-in-law Shawn Leonard; and godparents Casey and Rachele Tansey.
