Anthony Michael Lydon

US Army Ret.“Major Mike” died September 3, 2009 in Westminster, CO. He was a soldier, an officer and a gentleman. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rita; daughter Shannon (Mike) Fisher; and grandson Anthony Helmey. He was preceded in death by daughter Valerie Lydon. Mike was a life member of the VFW Home Post #7945. Rosary will be said Wednesday, September 9, 7:00 pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, 80229. Funeral Mass Thursday, September 10, 10:00 am at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 2361 E. 78th Ave., Denver, CO 80229. Committal Service following the Mass 12:15 PM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area “C” with full military honors rendered by the US Army. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 N.
