DONALD EDWARD TATUM JR.

Donald Tatum of Bellevue passed away November 9, 2016 after a brief illness, he was 57.

Don was born in Portland, Oregon, the son of Dr. Donald E. and Onalee G. Tatum. Don spent his early years in Fairbanks AK, returning to Portland with his family in 1965. He attended Ainsworth Elementary, Lincoln High School and Portland Community College where he studied Business and Education.

Donald moved to the Seattle area in 1985 and built an incredible career in the Auto Service industry as a shop owner, manager and consultant. For nearly two decades, Don was the General Manager at Harvey’s Auto in Redmond. Over the years, Don gained a very long list of loyal customers and friends who will remember him for his genuine nature, professionalism and wearing shorts 365 days a year.

Don was also a wonderful husband, father, uncle, and brother who loved the movies, snow, the Seahawks and spending time in Leavenworth. He absolutely enriched each of our lives with his spirit, generosity, and never-ending sense of humor.

Donald is survived by his wife, Carrie Tatum of Bellevue, step-children Christy Berry, David Berry and Susan Porter, his sister Katherine Tatum Paul, brother in law Johnny Tahara and his nieces Lyndsey and Andrea Paul, who will ever refer to him as “Dunky”.
