June Yvonne Morrison

June Yvonne Morrison

June Yvonne Morrison passed away suddenly on June 20, 2016 in her residence at Redmond Heights Senior Living in Redmond, WA.

June had experienced a long period of declining health due to Binswanger’s disease, a form of vascular dementia.  She left us for a better place and will be greatly missed!

June was born in Seattle Washington on April 13, 1936 and lived her childhood and adult life in Redmond. She was proud of being an “Old Time Redmond-ite.” June was a retired bus driver for Lake Washington School District and retired proudly after 38 years with a perfect driving record. She was known as a tough but kind bus driver and cared deeply for the children who rode her bus. She had a special place in her heart for the special needs children she transported near the end of her career.

Her parents were Peter Morrison and Thelma Pauline Fry Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Hodges, sister Eleanor Sherlock Corello, infant son Mark David Clapp, and son Todd Byron Clapp. She is survived by her sons Guy, Chad (Wendy) and Scott (primary caregiver); daughter Laurie Clapp Rogers (Rick); grandsons, Aaron (Sandy), Stevor (Mindy), Karl, and Stiven Clapp; granddaughters Michele Clapp Fernstrom (Doroteo), Shannon Clapp Ferguson (Tim), Carly Clapp Shear (Jeff),  Katie Rogers and Haley Clapp. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; two very close friends, Char Gentry and Gail Nelson.

There will be a graveside service for friends and family at Cedar Lawns Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 1pm on Friday, July 1 followed by a reception at the Redmond Eagles Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her honor
