Ramon E. Anspach

Ramon E. Anspach

On the evening of Sunday, December 20, 2015, Ramon E. Anspach passed away peacefully of natural causes. Ray was being visited and comforted by his daughters at Sunrise Haven, a Christian Science Nursing Home in Kent, WA. Ray was a vibrant 83 year old at the time of his death.

Ray was born in the town of Lima, Ohio on January 20, 1932. He was the third son born to Francis & Veda Anspach.

He served in the United States Air Force before moving to San Diego in the early 1960s. His career path was a mechanical engineer for General Dynamics specializing in ground support systems. He retired after 35 years with General Dynamics and went on to consult for about 3 years for a company in Santa Fe Springs, CA before relocating to Seattle in 1998.

Ray was extremely involved as a passionate volunteer with the Redmond Senior Center, served as president on his HOA board and most recently spent many hours devoted to his church library. Volunteering was not something he took

lightly. If he couldn’t help, he’d find someone who could.

He absolutely loved being a resident of Redmond and was happier on rainy days!

Ray is survived by his two daughters, Amy Anspach Aspiras of Los Angeles and Becky Anspach of Portland, OR, son-in-law Jay Aspiras, two grandchildren, Elliott & Holden, former wife, Kathy Anspach of San Diego and brother-in-law, Larry Duke of Wawona, CA.
