WALTER H. BUCHMAN III

Walter H. (Harold) Buchman III went home to be with the Lord in Bellevue, Washington on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the age of 69.

Walter was born on February 14, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Walter and Joan Buchman. Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, he graduated from Frostburg State College in 1971 with a B.A. in Psychology. After college, he served in Bad Kreuznach, Germany with the United States Army from 1971 to 1974, at which time he was honorably discharged. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Portland, Oregon where he met his wife, Kristi. They were married in 1982 and have two daughters.

On Father’s Day, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Walter walked peacefully into the arms of HIS Heavenly Father. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kristi, his daughters Rachel Buchman and Angi (Isaiah) Clark, his granddaughter Imogen, and his sister, Gayle Harlow (née Buchman). He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter H. Buchman II and Joan (Schreiber) Buchman. Walter will always be remembered for his love of sailboats, classic motorcycles, and a good cup of black coffee.

Walter will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington. Donations may be made in his name to Word at Work Ministries International www.wordatwork.org/donate.

“When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’” 1 Cor. 15:54-55
