My name is Lina Krueger and I am an exchange student from Germany here in Redmond through my organization International Experience.

I want to thank all the great people who have supported me here, given me a new home and a new family, starting with my host family, the Bickells.

Last August when I came here, I did not know what to expect and was very worried about almost everything, even without any reasons. My language skills were bad, and I was scared of finding friends. Now I can say, there was nothing to worry about. Sure, it takes a while to overcome all the struggles, but I had a lot of helping hands from the first day on, and they were always the best support I could wish for. I had amazing experiences this year and am glad to have such a great school and also community.

When I go back to Germany, I’ll look back and won’t find anything, what I would have done differently.

Also, it is not going to be a “good bye forever”, because I found a great new family, and awesome friends here, who I will be sure to see again.

Thank you all for this fun, exiting, amazing, scary, funny and great year here in Redmond.
