Kudos to Reporter for useful, relevant news | Letter

I'm writing to commend Redmond Reporter for presenting useful and relevant news — in reference to two articles I read in Redmond Reporter (via Bing Local News): 1) a police blotter, for June 22-28, regarding an officer who bought necessities for the children of two parents charged with shoplifting at Target; 2) "stranger-danger tips for families."

I’m writing to commend Redmond Reporter for presenting useful and relevant news — in reference to two articles I read in Redmond Reporter (via Bing Local News): 1) a police blotter, for June 22-28, regarding an officer who bought necessities for the children of two parents charged with shoplifting at Target; 2) “stranger-danger tips for families.”

There are many police reports in the news often involving police brutality, thus it’s uplifting to read news about a kind police officer. It’s a lesson on compassion for us all. More news about acts of humanity is encouraging especially at a time when we’re surrounded by teeming news of terrorist acts.

As for the article regarding “stranger-danger tips,” it’s an extremely helpful guide for parents and caretakers. We all want the best for our children, and keeping them safe and sound are paramount. The guide provided in Redmond Reporter helps parents begin and sustain a conversation with their children about safety. Any parent would appreciate the tips to keep their children secure.

Thank you for the balanced reporting.
