Vote ‘yes’ on LWSD bond — and backpacks | Letter

I'm a parent of a student at the seriously overcrowded Evergreen Middle School. It's so crowded that our kids just got a notice that they can't carry their books from class to class in backpacks. The backpacks are making the halls extra crowded and causing safety issues.

We can help solve this issue. Please join me in voting “yes” on the April 26 Lake Washington School District bond. This bond will help ease overcrowding and reduce portable classroom use, all while maintaining our tax rate. We owe it to our kids to make sure they have safe schools and enough classroom space to learn. I have been so impressed with the education my child is receiving. I hope the community will support our schools and vote “yes.”
