Bear Creek’s Gracie Matthews took first and Madison Baugh took eighth to lead the Grizzlies to a second-place finish in the 1A Emerald City League tournament. At bi-districts, Matthews finished in ninth place and qualified for the state tournament next week in Pasco.

Bear Creek’s Colin Diamond, Colby Cadigan and John Hayes finished in third place in the team standings in the league tournament. Hayes and Diamond placed third and fifth, respectively, and moved on to bi-districts. There, Hayes finished sixth and Diamond took 21st. Both golfers advance to state next week in Pasco.
