Playing a nonleague exhibition match against Friday Harbor on Monday, the Bear Creek girls’ soccer team notched their fifth win of the season via a 1-0 shutout.

Elizabeth Udeschini scored the game-winner for Bear Creek, scoring in the 55th minute while her team outshot Friday Harbor 20-7.

Keeper Ashley Emery notched for saves for the Grizzlies, who improved to 5-2-2 on the season.

Overlake routs Eagles at Redmond Ridge

In an 1A Emerald City League golf match between Overlake and Cedar Park Christian, the Owls got the upper hand as they handily won, 166-198.

Medaling was Noah Mayer, firing a 3-over-par 38, followed by Danny Lee (42) and David Anderson and Jacob Kelley with 43s.

Overlake volleyball sweeps Bush

The Overlake girls ran their record to 7-3 with a 3-0 sweep of Bush on Monday at the Overlake School in an 1A Emerald City League contest.

Offensive juggernaut Kirsten Parris led all players with 12 kills, followed by Louise Chouinard with six kills and five aces.
