Bear Creek’s Magee, Lee nab two wins each at track and field championships

At the 1A Emerald City League championship, Jonny Magee took first in the 100-meter run (11.6) and topped the triple-jump field (44-10.75) with a new league record jump, and also took second place in the long jump (20-06).

Benjamin Lee took first in both the 110-meter hurdles (16.1) and 300-meter hurdles (42.8).

Luke Poling placed fifth in the 1,600-meter run (4:58.0) and took third in the 200-meter run (25.5) less than 20 minutes after finishing second in the 800-meter (PR of 2:06.6).

Sean Gallagher finished fifth in the 3,200 meters (11:26.5) with his season’s best run.

Darryln McDonough finished sixth in the 100 (13.8) and fourth in the 200 (28.0).

Alyson Wong ran a PR and placed eighth in the 100 (13.9) and ninth in the 200 (31.0).

These athletes qualify for bi-districts starting on Thursday at King’s High in Shoreline. Wong is an alternate in the 100.
