Crossfire Premier ECNL girls U-16 squad finishes third in nation

The Crossfire Premier Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) girls U-16 soccer squad — featuring Redmond High varsity players Cameron Kieneker and Natalie Daub — notched third place in the nation this month in Germantown, Md.

The Crossfire Premier Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) girls U-16 soccer squad — featuring Redmond High varsity players Cameron Kieneker and Natalie Daub — notched third place in the nation this month in Germantown, Md.

The girls defeated FC Massachusetts, 3-2, to finish third on July 9. FC Massachusetts scored first in the opening 10 minutes, Crossfire’s Sophie Hirst and Anna Henderson each scored prior to halftime and then FC Massachusetts scored to tie the game. Hirst tallied with a minute to go to win the match.

Real Colorado beat Crossfire, 2-1, in the semifinals on July 8. Crossfire’s Emma Rohleder scored in the final 20 minutes of the game.
