Lakeside defeats Lake Sammamish for girls state lacrosse title

The Lakeside Lions won their ninth Washington Lacrosse girls state championship with a 13-7 victory over locals Lake Sammamish last Friday at Mercer Island High School. For Lake Sammamish, which finished 14-3-0, Alexandra Johnson led the way with four goals and one caused turnover, while Emily Sokol had two goals and Redmond High's Claire Monsaas had a single goal.
