OVERLAKE BOYS WIN THIRD STRAIGHT

The Overlake School lacrosse star Devon Schmidt followed up his recent nine-goal performance with another big game, scoring seven as he led the Owls to an 11-4 win over Tahoma on Wednesday night at Tahoma High School.

Chap Grubb recorded 17 saves and allowed just four goals for a stellar .809 save percentage.

With the win, the Owls improved to 8-4-0 and play on Saturday at Skyline, at 3 p.m.

OWLS’ SCORING SPREE LEADS TO WIN OVER LAKE SAMMAMISH

The Overlake School girls’ lacrosse team, playing in Division II, scored early and often in a 19-6 rout over Lake Sammamish on Tuesday night.

Owls’ Audi Brezak, Grace Grubb, Alison Havran, Corrine Hoag and Ceci Votta, who split time with Maya Marder as the Owls’ goalkeeper, each scored twice as Overlake improved to 8-2-0 on the year.

The Owls next play in the league playoffs, which begin on Tuesday, May 11, against an opponent to be determined after weekend games are completed.
