Milloy hits for the cycle in Redmond fastpitch win over Mount Si

Redmond's Amirah Milloy laced a two-run triple in the top of the ninth inning to lead the Mustangs to a thrilling 6-5 victory over Mount Si on Wednesday. Milloy hit for the cycle, including a home run in the fifth, and had three RBIs.

Mount Si led 4-3 heading into the seventh inning when Redmond tied the game. In extra innings, neither team scored in the eighth, Redmond tallied twice in the ninth and held Mount Si to one run in its half of the inning to win.

Redmond had 14 hits on the night. Joining Milloy in the hit parade were Tatyanna Forbes (three hits, including a homer and a double, and two RBIs), Rachel Robinson (two hits), Mara Kipnis (two hits), Daiana Kaplan (two hits) and Sawyer Forseth (double).

Sophia Viola pitched six innings for the Mustangs and Emily Drotz got the win after 2 2/3 innings of work.

Redmond was 6-5 in league and 7-7 overall at press time.
