After scoring 82 points last Friday against Eastlake, the Redmond boys’ basketball team’s offensive production was nearly cut in half against a tough Skyline team, losing 58-44 to the Spartans at home on Tuesday night.

The Spartans outscored the Mustangs in each quarter, and held Redmond to just eight fourth-quarter points to secure the victory.

For Redmond, Conner Floan and Jason Harrington led 15 and 12 points, with Skyline standout Lucas Shannon leading all scorers with 19.

The Mustang boys fell to 1-2 in 4A Kingco league play and 3-2 overall.

On the girls’ side, the Mustangs were outmatched by Skyline as well on Wednesday night, 52-23.

The Spartans scored 34 first-quarter points while holding Redmond to just a free throw in the second quarter in the rout.

Kelsey Dunn scored a team high eight for Redmond, with Lauren Bogard and Makaela Hayward pitching in six each as the team dropped to 1-2 in league and 2-3 overall.
