Ninth annual RedSkate competition at Edge Skate Park July 24

The City of Redmond's Old Fire House Teen Center is hosting the ninth annual RedSkate Skate Competition from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, July 24 at The Edge Skate Park, on the corner of Northeast 83rd Street and 161st Avenue Northeast in downtown Redmond.

The City of Redmond’s Old Fire House Teen Center is hosting the ninth annual RedSkate Skate Competition from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, July 24 at The Edge Skate Park, on the corner of Northeast 83rd Street and 161st Avenue Northeast in downtown Redmond.

The co-ed skateboarding contest is for kids and teens up to age 19. Three skateboarding divisions will compete: Shop Sponsor/Advance, Intermediate and Beginner. Entry fee is $5.

Helmets are required, participants must sign waivers to participate and minors need parent permission with a signed waiver.

The family-friendly event will include prize packets, free music and Sno Cones.
