Overlake-Bear Creek baseball blasts Bush, improves to 6-2

Senior Michael Andrea struck out five and allowed just two hits in four innings of work as the Growls basebal teaml — a combination of players from The Overlake and Bear Creek schools — blasted Bush, 16-0, in an Emerald City League contest Wednesday at Marymoor Field.

Senior third baseman Aaron DiGenova hit the team’s first home run since the introduction of the new bat regulations this year, a three-run shot during a 12-run third inning. DiGenova finished the game 3 for 4 with 5 RBIs.

Freshman first baseman Peter Perkins had the best day of his short career at the plate, going 3 for 3 with two doubles and a triple, driving in six runs.

Overlake-Bear Creek improves to 5-1 in the Emerald City League and 6-2 overall.
