Overlake boys tennis takes second at state

It was guaranteed that one Overlake boys doubles team would make the 1A state tennis final.

In a semifinals matchup of Owls teams Mac Hewitt/Pranav Harikrishnan and Ethan Hayden/Keshav Ummat last weekend at the Yakima Tennis Center, Hewitt/Harikrishnan triumphed two sets to none, but lost by the same count in the final to a Charles Wright duo.

To go along with their teammates’ second-place finish, Hayden/Ummat finished sixth to help send the Owls into a second-place spot in the final team standings.
