Overlake competes at state volleyball tournament

Overlake’s volleyball team won its first match at the 1A state tournament and then dropped two to finish its season.

At the Yakima SunDome on Nov. 15-16, the Owls beat King’s Way Christian (26-24, 25-15, 26-24) and then lost to Freeman (25-14, 25-18, 25-11) and Lynden Christian (25-12, 25-15, 25-12).

Overlake amassed a 22-4 record this season.
