Redmond’s Elise Petit shattered the school volleyball record of 355 kills in a season with 27 kills in the Mustangs’ five-game win over Newport on Tuesday in the 4A Kingco tournament. The league most valuable player has 375 kills this season.

Redmond will play Skyline on Thursday in another loser-out game. Next up for the winner will be a state-play-in game Saturday against a Greater St. Helens League opponent to be determined.

Against Newport, Redmond’s Ally Ford had 42 assists, Katie Williamson had 26 digs and Kathleen O’Bryon had 13 digs. Petit added 14 digs.
