The Grizzlies went on to lead 52-26 at the half and coasted to the win.

Ryan Strandin led the way with a game-high 22, followed by Lucas Peterson with 14.

The Grizzlies improved to 12-0 in league play, 17-3 overall, and will take the No. 1 seed into the Bi-District tournament, which gets underway on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. against Cedar Park Christian on the Grizzlies’ home court.

BEAR CREEK GIRLS HANG ON AGAINST CROSSPOINT

The Lady Grizzlies survived a fourth-quarter scare on Tuesday night at Crosspoint Academy, squeaking by the Warriors 35-34 in a Sea-Tac 2B league matchup.

The Grizzlies held the Warriors to a single converted free throw in the first quarter, but Warriors fought back to close the gap to 31-25 after three quarters.

In the fourth, behind the stellar play of Warriors’ standout Breyenne Mosey, who finished with 23 points, Crosspoint made a rally but the Grizzlies held on to stay perfect at 12-0 in league and 17-0 overall.

Nikki Peterson led the Grizzlies with 10 points, followed by Maddie Magee with nine and Catherine Fernandez with eight.

The Grizzlies will open up their Bi-District tournament as the No. 1 seed, playing on Saturday, Feb. 12, opponent and time to be determined.

REDMOND ROUTED BY ISSAQUAH IN SEASON FINALE

The Mustang girls’ basketball team put an end to a tough year with a 61-37 defeat at the hands of No. 7 Issaquah in a 4A Kingco contest Tuesday night at home.

Redmond was unable to stop Eagles’ forward Maddey Pflaumer, who torched the nets for 23 points as part of a 33-14 run in the second and third quarters.

For Redmond, Jordyn Ohrt led the team with nine points, with Lauren Bogard adding seven. The Mustangs finished at 2-12 in league play and 4-16 overall.
