Did you know?

The Woodinville Falcons and Redmond Mustangs have had a fierce golf rivalry the past two seasons. In 2006 Redmond went 10-0 and Woodinville was 9-1 after the Falcons were beat by the ‘Stangs on their home course, and in 2007 the tables were turned as Woodinville edged Redmond by two strokes at Bear Creek Country Club in the final match of the year to remain undefeated and hand Redmond their first loss in two years.

Coach’s quote

“The short game, putting and chipping, is the key. You can hit the ball great all day, but if you can’t chip or make a putt, you can’t score. Another thing I teach them is course management — to think their way around the golf course. Sometimes these guys get in trouble, and they feel like they have to keep pressing and hit it on the green instead of chipping it back into the fairway and making bogey at worst.”
