Redmond resident Madison Podlucky, who is entering her senior year at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, verbally committed to a full-ride scholarship to the University of Washington to compete for the women’s gymnastics team.

Podlucky received one of just four scholarships offered by the program and is the only local product to be recruited for the 2011 team.

Last year, Podlucky won the Level 10 Washington State Gymnastics Championships at Seattle Pacific University, the highest level of youth gymnastics. Podlucky started gymnastics at age 5, and has competed for Northwest Aerials in Kirkland, Leading Edge Gymnastics Academy in Everett, and most recently Auburn Gymnastics where she has been coached by Brent Phelps and Peter Flores for the past year.
