Redmond Select girls’ basketball holding tryouts

Redmond Select will soon be hosting tryouts for girls entering grades 5-8 to develop skills and play basketball in a competitive environment. Tryouts will be held on Monday, Sept. 12 in the Redmond High School gym, with 5th and 6th grades going from 6-7:30 p.m. and 7th and 8th grades from 7:30-9 p.m.

Redmond Select will soon be hosting tryouts for girls entering grades 5-8 to develop skills and play basketball in a competitive environment. Tryouts will be held on Monday, Sept. 12 in the Redmond High School gym, with 5th and 6th grades going from 6-7:30 p.m. and 7th and 8th grades from 7:30-9 p.m.

Participants are asked to arrive 30 minutes early to register.

Open gyms will also be held prior to tryouts, on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30.

In addition, Redmond Select Girls is looking for experienced coaches to lead the program’s 7th grade team. Interested parties should contact Kevin Leuning at (206) 799-0025 or by e-mail at kleuning@gmail.com.

Redmond Select is a participant, with other area Select programs, in the Puget Sound Travel League and a development program for competitive girls basketball. Players must live within Lake Washington School District’s Redmond High School boundaries.
