Redmond Thunder soccer girls win district cup title

Redmond Thunder, a girls under-13 District 2 team, finished first in the division and went on to win the D2 Recreational Cup Championship on Nov. 25 and progressed to the state recreational playoffs on Dec. 1.The Thunder notched a 9-1 league record and went 4-0 in the D2 playoffs despite missing some key players.

Redmond Thunder players were: Adi Alony, Jessica Blanding, Sarah Cauthorn, Kaitlin Conn, Meghan Egberg, Alexandra Gomez, Alia Haq, Jenna Henan, Katie Hartman, Emmie Head, Grace Kellogg, Emma Makela, Amelia Muscott, Teagyn Ohrt, Mickayla Risenmay, Chelsey Sanford and Jenna Wapstra. Head coach: Doreen Blanding; assistant coaches: Curt Ohrt and Jon Wapstra.
