Redmond’s Collier notches third 4A state golf appearance

Redmond High junior Ally Collier qualified for the 4A state golf tournament for the third time with an eighth-place finish at the District 2 tournament this week at Snohomish Golf Course.

Redmond High junior Ally Collier qualified for the 4A state golf tournament for the third time with an eighth-place finish at the District 2 tournament this week at Snohomish Golf Course.

The solid and consistent Collier shot 80-85-165 with an even-par performance on the back nine on the first day.

State is May 27-28 at Indian Canyon in Spokane.

Sophomore Lauren Settle (87-90-177) rallied on the last three holes and just missed the state cut in a playoff.

Also playing great on the back nine were sophomores Rachel Jonson (95-93-188), Alex Jandrisch (97-95-192) and Katie McCannon (95-97-192), who qualified for the second-day of competition.
