Jajewski banged out three hits and a career-high six RBIs in the game, as the Bulldogs scored all of their runs in the first four innings.

The Mustangs had plenty of offense of their own, including Dylan Davis and Michael Conforto both hitting home runs. Conforto, who finished a triple short of the cycle, went 3-for-4. Teammates Josh Bircher and Ryan Beliel each collected two hits as the Mustangs played error-free defense.

With the loss, Redmond is now 9-5 in league play and 12-6 overall, and remains in a tie for second place in the Crest division with Newport.

ISLANDERS BEAT OWLS AT REDMOND RIDGE

Using a modified Stableford scoring system, the visiting Mercer Island girls’ golf team had no trouble navigating the Golf Club at Redmond Ridge in a 81-56 win against The Overlake School.

With five points being awarded for a birdie, four points for a par, three for a bogey, etc., the Islanders were led by Vanessa Lam and Chanel Lau, who each carded 24s.

The Owls were led by Jessica Weisbly, who shot 21.

MUSTANG FASTPITCH RAINED OUT, WILL BE RE-PLAYED

Playing in muddy field conditions and a steady rain, the Redmond High fastpitch game against the Ballard Beavers was postponed in the fourth inning and will be played from the beginning on Thursday, May 29, at Redmond High School. The Mustangs next play on Wednesday night against Bothell at Bothell High.

UNBEATEN MERCER ISLAND ROUTS OVERLAKE

Mercer Island (14-0) remained unbeaten with an 18-1 Division I lacrosse win over the Owls Monday night at the Overlake School.

Jonathan Wettack scored five goals for Mercer Island in the win, while Overlake goalie Chap Grubb notched nine saves.

With the loss, the Owls slipped to 5-4-0 on the season.
