Alkire appointed clinical director of operations for Novelty Hill Physical Therapy

Kendra Alkire, a doctor of physical therapy, has been appointed as the clinical director of operations for Novelty Hill Physical Therapy (NHPT) in Redmond.

“Kendra is a talented and smart Physical Therapist who is a true asset to NHPT. She comes to us with three years of experience and an excellent reputation in the surrounding community,” said Lori O. Marx, co-owner of the clinic.

Alkire joined NHPT in 2012. Going forward, she will devote all of her time to managing the clinic’s staff, growing programs and operations.

Alkire is a graduate of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and holds a doctorate of physical therapy, as well as a bachelor of science and exercise science from Western Washington University. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is certified in ASTYM for upper extremity, shoulder girdle, lower extremity, pelvis and back. She also holds her manual therapy certification (MTC) of specialized training in evaluation, treatment, joint mobilization and functional analysis of the subcranial, cervico-thoracic and lumbo-pelvic region regions of the spine, with related coursework in myofascial manipulation and extremity integration.

Alkire’s professional focus is on treating musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders with an integrative approach to improving functional movement. She is experienced in a wide range of clinical knowledge. She is known for developing, improving and implementing programs through strong networking, collaboration and coordination of the staff and community.

Alkire will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic and ensure the highest quality of care to patients. She will also continue to  provide individualized patient care through evaluation and treatment of patients.
